Our vision

At Suttontown Primary School we work together to provide opportunities for children to become lifelong learners that are respectful towards themselves and others. Students extend their knowledge and understanding through experiences that challenge deeper thinking and are encouraged to step outside their comfort zones. Students gain meaning from their experiences to develop an understanding of language and its connectedness to their world. We see our students as resilient and capable learners. Our school values its sense of community which is reflected within strong relationships that educators have with students, families and colleagues.

We build a sense of inquiry by demonstrating the importance of listening, speaking, and questioning through various contexts in rich and meaningful ways. We inspire children to build upon their knowledge, skills and attitudes, developed from multiple points of view. We value growth mindsets and encourage students to understand that mistakes help us to learn, creating resilient learners willing to challenge themselves. Our approach of making learning visible gives students the ability to see their progress. Students receive meaningful feedback from educators, self and peers assisting them to understand and improve their learning.

Suttontown Primary School is committed to providing an education for our students that continuously evolves, sets high expectations and develops well informed, highly skilled individuals.
